Tara Steinberg is a New York City based actor and voiceover artist who is incredibly passionate about acting as a medium for powerful story telling.

After graduating from The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts (NYCDA), Tara has been spreading her passion, wit and joy on stages and film sets all over New York City.  She filmed a satirical commercial for TruTV, portrayed a pregnant woman in the Coen brothers movie Inside Llewyn Davis, and can be seen in the independent films Tea Party, Are We Really Friends?, and The Unattainable Story. In September 2017, Tara was in a staged reading of a new play by Nina Kethevan titled Dress of Fire and then reprised her role in a production of Dress of Fire at the 13th Street Repertory Theatre last Spring, which also featured theatre legend Austin Pendleton.

As a voiceover artist, Tara is represented by PN Agency. You can hear her over the new Stratosphere Surfboards campaign.

Tara has a unique understanding of how acting fits into the larger picture of filmmaking thanks to her professional production experience. She was the assistant production coordinator for The Letter, a feature film staring James Franco and Winona Ryder and the production coordinator for Sleeping With The Fishes, staring Gina Rodriguez and Priscilla Lopez, and No Pay, Nudity, directed by Lee Wilkof, starring Gabriel Byrne, Nathan Lane and Frances Conroy.

Also a writer, Tara has had non-fiction work and poetry published online.  She has a degree in International Studies and is an Americorps Alum. When not acting, you can usually find her either traveling the world (she has been to 17 countries over the last 12 years) or working for a cause she believes in.  She feels that all of these things contribute to her acting. Whether helping newly arrived refugees learn English, raising awareness for rescue dogs, coordinating a thousand hot meals a day to the neighorhoods most affected by Hurricane Sandy, or simply getting lost in a foreign city where she doesn't speak the language, Tara draws on all of these experiences to embody characters that are real, authentic and deeply human.
